Ever since I was a young girl I’ve fostered a strong disdain for fans. I don’t like all moving air, actually, and I really don’t like when it’s windy outside, but why? It’s hard to really explain. I suppose I don’t prefer the feeling of my hair being tossed all over the place, and I really don’t like when a stray hair decides to brush up against my face in the breeze. My friends guess I’m unusual for this awkward dislike of fans. I was once asked if I don’t prefer fans then how do I stay cool in the summer months, however the answer to that was self-explanatory. I have very good air conditioning. My Heating as well as Air Conditioning system, which is a gas furnace as well as air conditioning two-for-one type of unit, blows either heated or cooled air through our house’s vents depending on what I’ve set the thermostat to, which is nice. The air comes through the vents in a actually gentle flow so I do not feel the air blowing unless I’m directly over the vent itself, but air conditioning is great other than that. Car ACs can be quite bothersome, with how much they blow out the air, and I would never be in a moving car with the windows rolled down. I don’t understand how anyone could stand dealing with that! It’s so absurdly distracting to have the wind blowing through the car while you are trying to pay attention to the road. I’d prefer the car’s AC was on to cool down the vehicle, even if it is a tad bit strong. But if it were possible, I’d rather there be no fans or anything resembling them at all. Is that really asking for too much?
